In response to our question whether the reason for putting the national air transporter’s shares up for sale was debts, Nana Avetisova said that it was owner Mikhail Baghdasarov’s business, and the press secretary wasn’t entitled to answer such a question. In response to another question of www.aravot.am whether the statements that Armavia had a lot of buyers was not a PR action, in order to raise the price, Nana Avetisova assured that Armavia was a company that didn’t need to engage in PR, the company had made much progress in recent years, it had opened new routes in different directions etc.
In response to our observation that Armavia had also had a lot of debts recently, as a result of which Zvartnots had even forbidden Armavia to make flights several times, unless it had repaid its debts, the press secretary of the company said the following: “So what? Those are current debts, everyone has them, the flights are made as usual, and the debts are gradually repaid. Everyone has debts, even every family has debts.”
As for what the specific conditions of selling Armavia were, the company press secretary didn’t go into detail, saying that it was also a commercial secret.
