The Heritage Party parliamentary group leader responds to a deputy leader of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)
Razmik Zohrabyan, a deputy leader of the RPA, thinks there are “Satanist practices” in the intention to organize an “alternative inauguration” on April 9 in Freedom Square. He expressed a conviction during a conversation with Radio Liberty that a sectarian organization was behind Raffi Hovhannisyan’s movement. “I am becoming convinced that there is some sectarian organization behind them that instigates and manages them. It may be both from inside and from outside. I think that there is such an organization that doesn’t allow these people to calm down. What does organizing an inauguration in Freedom Square and electing
Raffi president mean? These are some Satanist ceremonies, which are related to sectarianism. Some political and religious ceremonies, which I would call Satanist, take place under the slogan ‘Equality, Honesty, Liberties.’” Ruben Hakobyan, the leader of the Heritage Party parliamentary group, commented on this during a conversation with www.aravot.am today: “I have never been interested and have never wished to be involved in Satanism or its ideology. However, listening to him, it seems that he knows that ideology quite professionally. But one should be at least Satan to accuse the thousands of people gathered in the square and their leader of Satanism.” In response to our observation that Razmik Zohrabyan thought also that sectarianism was behind Raffi Hovhannisyan, he said: “Perhaps it is included in Satanism. When people don’t see and don’t want to understand what is going on in the state, don’t want to understand that they are destroying the state for their own interests, rigging elections, they can refer to any nonsense. That is why I don’t deem it necessary to make more detailed comments.”
