If he is elected, Armen Yeritsyan, the Rule of Law Party (RLP) candidate for mayor, will clear Komaygi of the boys who have changed their sexual orientation and gather there at night. Mr. Yeritsyan said during a conversation with www.aravot.am that the homosexuals and transvestites who gathered in that park would not impede the sleep of the adjacent buildings’ residents anymore. “There is a quick solution to that. We illuminate the park, we install cameras, and the videos of what happens are immediately uploaded to YouTube. If there is no demand, there will be no prostitutes. It is one of the first solutions. Solution number two: we should necessarily ask that our police officers be more active while on duty in the park and our residents of Yerevan assist police officers, so that our children don’t see such things.” It was hard for Mr. Yeritsyan to answer why police officers were not active nowadays and why Taron Margaryan didn’t pay attention to that problem. “I haven’t thought about that, because I am the Minister of Emergency Situation, and I have my concerns. I propose what can be done afterwards.”
