In his speech at the rally on March 1, the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, sent his next message in turn to PAP saying what makes Tsarukyan different from Ivanishvili (who managed, also thanks to Saakashvili’s discretion, to carry out a soft change of power), or from Renat Akhmetov and Serhiy Tihipko (who did not allow Yanukovych declare an emergency in Kiev).
This statement gave rise to heated debate and criticism.
In the conversation with Aravot.am, Petros Makeyan, former member of the ANC alliance, interpreted this comparison of Levon Ter-Petrosyan as follows, “I just feel bad that the former president of the country is saying such things addressed to someone … compared him with Ivanishvili. Ivanishvili showed a clear political line, its stance, and the people that he was talking about are allegedly doing charity over 15 years at the expense of people’s possession.”
