“Ratification of EaEU Treaty recorded a death of the political system”

December 05,2014 13:51

As estimated by human rights activist Arthur Sakunts, ratification of the treaty “On Accession of Armenia to the Treaty of May 29, 2014 on the “Eurasian Economic Union”” by the National Assembly recorded a death to Armenia’s political system. “The government and non-governmental differentiations are just a formality, because radically they are the same forces, simply one want to take the other’s place by acquiring government leverage. This vote clearly recorded that Armenia’s political forces, with the exception for a few out-parliamentary forces, all of them are implementers of Putin’s demand, his attendants. No substantiation so far was presented to the public on membership to the EaEU. Today’s voting records the death of political system, thereby elimination of Armenian Republic as a sovereign state,” said Arthur Sakunts.

Note that shortly before, the National Assembly ratified the treaty “On Accession of Armenia to the Treaty of May 29, 2014 on the “Eurasian Economic Union”” with 103 votes “pros”, 7 “cons” and 1 “abstained”. Abstained was voted by ARF faction Secretary Aghvan Vardanyan. Arthur Sakunts is sure that all political forces would be disappointed with their calculations on EaEU, because no EaEU will happen. “Let’s see what excuses they will seek to present to the public and for their existence. Voting for ratification of this contract, Armenia’s political forces proved that they do not bear commitment and responsibility for protecting the Republic of Armenia by Constitution.”
