“My Grandmother’s Hair” film project to be presented in A class festival

“Parallels film” cinema studio founder and film director Hovhannes Galstyan, in an interview with Aravot.am, said that the filmmaker Marine Zakaryan’s “My Grandmother’s Hair” international film project is included in the list of B’EST EAVE (Baltic Bridge East by West), film project development and film producing training program and films. B’EST is organized by joint efforts of Tallinn Fest Baltic Event initiative, Russian RFilms and CTB companies, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, EAVE and Creative Europe MEDIA structurs and is designed for the film producers who have experience in international co-production and new competitive film projects.

Our interlocutor told us said that “My Grandmother’s Hair” will be introduced in Tallinn on November 18 by the film’s executive producer Raffi Niziblyan. Hovhannes Galstyan, in the interview with Aravot.am, told that the B`EST is the exclusive opportunity to present their film project to the international funds and film companies. As for the Tallinn Festival, he said, “In 2015, Tallinn Film Festival has received an A Class competitive film festival status by the Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films (FIAPF), which dramatically has increased the film fest’s rating, attracting the interest of the companies and the funds involved in the European film industry. It was announced still in spring that the Tallinn film fest is going to be the main platform where the former USSR countries’ filmmakers can meet their colleagues from Western Europe to carry out joint film projects.”
