“The answer is one: three civilians were killed by Marchtype of weapon, internal forces have killed. I do not know what answer the Armenian Government has or no, or what answer it will give but our lawyers will give a good counterblow to the government’s Q&A” – said Sargis Kloyan, the father of one of the March 1 victims, Gor Kloyan in an interview with Aravot.am. Sargis Kloyan said that he has talked to the lawyer who has introduced the case to the European Court of Human Rights, he was informed that the ECHR has begun the Q&A phase with the Government of Armenia in September last year, the Government has sent an official letter to ECHR asking for some time by March for answering the questions as ECHR is overloaded with other lawsuits against Armenia. “The deadline is March 25, after which they have to answer to the European Court, if not, I cannot imagine what a shameful situation it will be for Armenia.
We expect from the European Court whether it will condemn and punish severely, perhaps, if we win the trial, we will be given moral and material compensation,” said Sargis Kloyan. Yesterday, “eight years” passed since the events of March 1, we asked Mr. Kloyan why no one was brought to responsibility for the events of March 1 during all these eight years, there were no revelations, our interlocutor said, “Because they do not have the answer to the question, the branch on which these government authorities are sitting they will never cut it off. Clearly, this has happened during the reign of this government, these people were executed by shooting by the order of this government, so how they are going to reveal the action made by this government. Certainly, they will not reveal, they are just extending the time. Sooner or later, all the issues will be resolved in the European Court.”
