Azerbaijani forces have continued shelling the northeastern (Yarmja) and northern (Talish) directions of the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan with mortars since 12:15 on November 11. As the press department of the NKR Defense Army reports, the shelling continued until 15:30 with sporadic intervals.
According to the release, Azerbaijani forces have fired 37 projectiles toward the Armenian positions, of which 13 from 60mm and 24 from 82 mortars.
Apart from mortars, the adversary has applied firearms of different calibers in Akna direction of the Line of Contact, Black Arrow (8 shells) and Istigal (25 shells) type of large-caliber sniper rifles.
“Defense Army vanguard units have closely followed and are following the actions of the adversary and whenever necessary take respective measures to ensure the reliable protection of the state border,” the statement reads, which also assess the situation on the frontline at this point as “relatively calm”.
