“I do not consider having 5 rounds a delay,” said NA MP Karen Bekaryan on December 16, at the “Novosti Armenia” press club, referring to the Armenia-EU Association Agreement.
He added that Armenia has a pretension of a fairly broad package, “It is not a 1-2-page agreement. It is a huge document with arrangements and settlements in all directions, therefore, I do not consider it a delay. Another issue that we are interested in it to be as fast as possible with all phases, and later also its ratification proves and fulfillment. In this perspective, I hope that this process will be over nest spring because my impression is that there is going to be either 2 or 3 rounds, not more.”
Karen Bekaryan sees no reason not to ratify the agreement, “The negotiators are putting some questions in constant correction during the negotiation process, in other words, it does not turn out in the end that this document can contain surprises for this country’s officials.”
