During the third conference of Armenian parties, held on June 16-18 in Stepanakert, a member of “Free Homeland” party Arpat Avanesyan addressed a question to his Armenian colleagues, asking what they mean by saying Artsakh status. Noting that he gets hurt when his colleagues talk more about the NK conflict than they have the right to, he said, “How do you dare to talk about territorial concessions? I don’t want to mention: who are you to take that burden on you if you are not capable of handling it? Let every man speak of his knowledge and abilities. Let no one in Armenia retain the right to talk about our territories”.
Shushan Petrosyan reacted, “Your lands are also our lands”.
Aravot.am tried to find out exactly which political forces he referred to. In response, he again called for not to express opinions on territories recorded in their Constitution that is contrary to Artsakh people’s wishes, while talking about the status of Artsakh.
By the way, the deputy of “National Revival” party did not participate in the conference just because of the differing views on Artsakh conflict settlement. Deputies of “Movement-88” party did not participate either.
