Anti-governmental protests continue in Armenia. Demonstrators block streets as the parliament of the country did not elect Nikol Pashinyan, leader of the movement, as Prime Minister.
Thousands of citizens strike. Metro is also closed.
Let us remind you that mass demonstrations started on April 13 when people started to march and paralyze the traffic not only in the capital of Yerevan but also other communities of Armenia. They demanded the former President and newly sworn-in Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan to resign. He resigned on April 23. But the demonstrations did not stop, people demanded the ruling Republican party to elect the leader of the movement as PM of the country.
Next elections will be held on May 8.
