Journalist Arkadi Babchenko is not dead, his murder was staged, informed BBC, referencing the Security Service of Ukraine. The head of Ukraine’s Security Service, Vasili Gricak announced in the press conference that the journalist’s murder was staged by them, to unveil the true plan of the assassination attempt.
According to him, it was planned by the special services of Russia. With that aim they had recently conscripted a Ukrainian citizen who is already imprisoned. After that Babchenko entered the press conference hall himself. He announced that it is already two months that case was being investigated. He was called and said that “he was a target”.
“People said some had ordered to kill me. The money is already paid – 40 000 USD. They showed documents, passport data, my photograph, which is only in my passport. It became known that the information comes from Russia,” said the journalist.
He added: “That information could be collected only by the special services and only in the passport department.”
Babchenko apologized from his friends and wife for the inconvenience.
