President Armen Sarkissian meets with various specialists of the physics field in Armenia these days. The purpose is to inventory opportunities, calculate the options whether what and how to do so that Armenia becomes a locomotive country in this field. Asked why exactly this field the President explained that he is a specialist in this field and has various connections in the international arena.
Within the framework of this project, President Armen Sarkissian visited the “Candle” synchrotron research institute. “We cannot live only by the fact that we have had the observatory, we have had Viktor Hambardzumyan”, said Armen Sarkissian, noting that Armenia needs modern responses to modern challenges. According to him, the telescopes of Byurakan Observatory might be modern 30 years ago, but in the 21st century, extraterrestrial telescopes are used.
After all the meetings, the President will sum up his vision and approaches with the government and will try to contribute to the development of the field with his advice. At least, he believes that this is one of the main areas of our country’s development. He is sure that Armenia has a potential to become a small but valuable country of production. He also believes that this will help bring great investments to the country. As President, he will unconditionally support the government to meet these goals.
