President Sarkissian sent a letter of condolences to the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres on the demise of the former Secretary General of the UN Kofi Annan.
The letter states:
“I convey my deep condolences on the demise of Kofi Annan, a renowned diplomat and a skilled statesman who assumed the position of the Secretary General of the United Nations in a rather complex time.
His dedication to human values and ability to comprehend the depth of the issues played an undeniable role in the promotion of human rights and strengthening of the United Nations system. It is a big loss for the international community and the United family of Nations.”
