“I repeat that Prosperous Armenia supported the revolution as it was taking place, and it defended the people’s candidate, Nikol Pashinyan. We will be the people’s voice. We won’t throw dirt on it, but instead we will follow everything to make sure that Nikol Pashinyan is carrying out his promises. If there will be any danger to the people, we will be against it,” Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters, answering one of their questions about former Armenian Ambassador to the Vatican Mikayel Minasyan’s statement. Minasyan had told Aysor that there is no opposition in parliament, and that it needs to be formed outside of parliament in the future.
Gagik Tsarukyan said that Prosperous Armenia is a centrist force. “If everyone tries to practice on one another, and find an ending, or mention how Gagik Tsarukyan isn’t there… Tsarukyan is available 24 hours a day. Tsarukyan is the leader of the party. We discuss everything and then we act. Now everyone is voicing their opinions. Let the people decide.”
Reporters also asked about Armenian Revolutionary Federation bureau representative Hrant Margaryan’s statement that these authorities “will be sent home” in five years. Tsarukyan replied, “You’re turning this into ‘The Death of Kikos.’ Who knows what will happen in five years?” He added, “We all know that everything needs to go well. If we are united, and if we carry out our plans, everything will be great, and we will turn the people’s expectations into a reality,” Tsarukyan said.
