ARMENPRESS. A Yerevan court of general jurisdiction has denied to release ex-president Robert Kocharyan on bail.
Judge Anna Danibekyan announced the ruling today at a court session in the Shengavit Courthouse of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction.
Earlier on September 17th, the court had rejected Kocharyan’s motion to drop the criminal proceedings and charges. After that Kocharyan filed another motion requesting to be released from pre-trial detention on bail.
Kocharyan is charged with overthrowing constitutional order and bribery.
