Members of the Voice of Artsakh Mothers initiative once again protested outside of the US Embassy in Armenia. They carried posters that said, “Come outside,” “Recognize Artsakh’s independence,” “Shame on you,” and “Don’t embarrass yourselves.”
Ten days ago, members of the initiative presented a letter to the ambassador, but they did not receive any response until now. The women, mothers, and children of Artsakh demanded that US Ambassador Lynne Tracy at least come outside of the embassy and respect the women and children whose husbands, sons, and brothers are currently at the frontlines fighting for their right to life. “At least give us ten minutes of your time to listen to the nightmare that we have been living for 30 days,” one of the initiative members, Eva Safaryan, said, asking, “Who is going to give us an answer for all of these deaths? Show yourselves and look us in the eye. We will not leave. Don’t embarrass yourself, Lynne Tracy.”
Siranuysh Sargsyan said that it is against American law for Turkish fighters to destroy our homes, and kill our mothers, sisters, and brothers. It is due to the 907 resolution that provides Turkey with aid paid for by US taxpayers that Turkey is able to train militants and send them to Artsakh. “It is not only due to America’s silence, but also its direct participation that Turkey and Azerbaijan are carrying out aggression against Artsakh. The USA is funding terrorism,” she said.
Siranuysh Sargsyan recently returned from Artsakh. “Now, Stepanakert and Shushi are in even worse conditions. I went to the bunkers and saw mothers waiting for their sons who have not received any news for ten days. They still gave us their last pieces of chocolate and tea with hope in their eyes that everything will be fine. But I also saw soldiers who buried their brothers and went to fight the next day with the belief that we will destroy those terrorists and enemies. I do not expect the USA to do anything, but if these terrorists are not destroyed in Artsakh, they will reach Georgia, Russia, Europe, and the United States. We will destroy our enemy, but you are the ones who are planting those seeds. Shame on you for allowing this to happen,” Siranuysh Sargsyan said.

Lianna Adamyan said, “I am Armen Dolukhanyan. I died yesterday, and my children are orphans. I am Artur Babayan, and they have not buried my burned body for 20 days to carry out genetic testing. I have left behind three orphaned children. I am Misha Martirosyan and I am 18 years old. I am a prisoner, and I do not know if I will return home. I am Erik Varunts, and I reached the Armenian positions by running away from internationally banned weapons. I am all of the dead and wounded brave Armenians, and I carry this pain in my body, soul, and history. But I came here to say that I am the mother of a future soldier and I will not tolerate people being forced to leave their homes to escape from the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey. I will not remain silent and I will not tolerate your silence. What have you been doing for the past week inside the largest embassy in the world where the employees have nothing to do?”
The protesters said that America supports terrorism with its silence. It supports the destruction of civilian homes using F-16 fighters and phosphorous bombs. They reminded President Donald Trump and Joe Biden that the people of Artsakh are fighting for their country, and they have not occupied any territories. “We’ve had enough of your false promises. We do not believe you anymore.”
The protesters gave another letter to the US ambassador demanding the recognition of Artsakh.
The protesters were still at the embassy, and some of them were carrying out sit-ins. They were singing patriotic songs and chanting, “Recognition.”
