“A closed discussion took place in parliament regarding the captives, and we explained why it was a closed discussion. The issue of the captives is a very sensitive one. Speaking publicly about the captives daily and holding open discussions can hurt the process of their return,” My Step deputy Arpi Davoyan told reporters in parliament.
“We have spoken about that many times, but some people continue to make claims, and they continue to gather dividends. None of the representatives of this government can have a different opinion on this issue. This is the main problem we face, and our captives need to return as soon as possible. But speaking about that openly every day, and saying ‘you didn’t do this, you didn’t do that, you didn’t publish their names’ does not help,” Arpi Davoyan said.
She also noted that discussions about ending the war sooner have no basis, and the government did everything to stop the war as soon as possible. “But this is what happened.”
