“‘Go away,’ he pushed me, I pulled his epaulettes off, he told them to take me away”: Daughter of fallen Captain Ishkhan Petrosyan gives details

April 07,2021 23:00

During the women’s protest on April 7th, the daughter of fallen Captain Ishkhan Petrosyan, Margarita Petrosyan, was taken into custody in front of the government building.

In an interview with Aravot Daily, Margarita Petrosyan said that they treated her well at the police station. They filed a report and released her. Regarding the report, Margarita Petrosyan expressed her disagreement. “The report was made on the grounds that I did not obey the lawful request of a police assistant, but the officer did not tell me anything for me to obey or disobey him. The police officer told me to go away. He pushed me, so I pulled his epaulettes off, and he told them to take me away.” Margarita Petrosyan said that the police officer had the rank of a major, but she did not know his name. “I see him a lot during demonstrations.”

Regarding what happened during the women’s protest, she said, “On April 7th, on Motherhood and Beauty Day, the land-giver’s police hit an Armenian woman. This is perhaps the most important fact that people need to know about traitors’ Armenia.”

Margarita Petrosyan called upon the police officers to wake up. “This is also your homeland. This is your children’s homeland. Don’t allow your children to grow up without a homeland like you.” She cannot even imagine that these police officers will be embarrassed over what happened today. “The traitor turned them from a police officer to an ordinary security guard. With that 300,000 AMD, they not only sold you, but they also sold our homeland and the lives of your children. One day, they will die with a lack of dignity. The question arises of whether or not their children will be able to bury them.”
