Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan speaking at the cabinet sitting today said the June 20 elections in Armenia passed in accordance with democratic standards and the final results express the will of the Armenian people.
“So the National Assembly of the 8th convocation will consist of 107 deputies, and the Civil Contract party will have 71 mandates, “Armenia” bloc will have 29 and “I Have Honor” bloc – 7 mandates,” he said.
Pashinyan congratulated all on the conduction of free and competitive parliamentary elections in conditions of crisis.
“I congratulate “Armenia” and “I Have Honor” blocs on passing to the NA and want to stress that for the first time in Armenia’s history the elections became a way of overcoming inner-political crisis while previously we were used to having political crisis due to election results,” he said.
