Some young people from Dilijan who were slightly injured during the war left for Russia to work abroad

Some of the wounded young people who took part in the 44-day Artsakh war in Dilijan left for Russia to work abroad. In a conversation with Aravot, Nona Grigoryan, Advisor to the Mayor of Dilijan, mentioned that there are 43 people injured in Dilijan as a result of the 44-day Artsakh war, 3 of whom are seriously injured, unable to walk, and one soldier has mental health problems.

“Rafael Mkrtchyan, one of the soldiers who was seriously wounded, has a fractured spine, with which he is unable to walk. Roman Musaelyan lost two legs and one arm during the war, and Albert Grigoryan has a deep leg injury. The boys regularly attend the Soldier’s Home Rehabilitation Center and receive courses of rehabilitation treatment.” According to Grigoryan, one more soldier has a mental disorder, and he was receiving rehabilitation treatment courses in the sanatorium. “We are in constant contact with the wounded soldiers, but we cannot talk to a soldier with a specific mental disorder because he is not able to communicate in person by phone. His father has always answered all our calls.”

Grigoryan also mentioned that most of the lightly wounded soldiers are not in Dilijan. Some of them are in Yerevan for education, and some have left for Russia to work abroad. According to the advisor, the young people who went abroad for work are mainly 25-27 years old. They went to Russia for the first time to work after the 44-day war in Artsakh.
