“The fate of Artsakh is endangered. If there is no Artsakh, there will be no Armenia,” Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan told reporters. Referring to Parukh’s events, he said that the Russian side should not be stoned and or accused of not fulfilling its obligation, especially that the security and future of Artsakh depended on Russia.
“But that does not mean that nothing depends on us. We have an absolute opportunity to have good relations with everyone because we have the Diaspora. You are pro-Western, fine, you can love the West, but that does not mean that you should hate Russia and vice versa. Anti-Armenianism and terrorism in Azerbaijan is a state policy and it was seen by the Russian peacekeepers who became the same target. Parukh’s case was a terrorist attack and a blow not only to Artsakh, but also to the Russian peacekeepers.”
