The parliament debated the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Using Navigation Seals for Tracking Shipments within the EAEU

On November 15, the National Assembly began the work of the regular sittings, approving the agendas of the session and the regular sittings.

The parliamentary opposition also participated in the NA regular sitting.

Members of the National Assembly, Martun Grigoryan from the With Honor Faction and Argishti Gevorgyan and Garnik Danielyan from the Armenia Faction, were sworn in according to Article 33.4 of the Constitutional Law the NA Rules of Procedure.

The parliament debated the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Using Navigation Seals for Tracking Shipments within the EAEU.

The key rapporteur, the RA Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Ashot Muradyan informed that the agreement is aimed at reducing state control measures during transportation of the goods and ensuring legal circulation. The conditions and the procedure for the use of navigation seals, the main provisions related to the information interaction of tracking objects, types of vehicles transporting goods, the participants in the tracking shipments, the national operators and control bodies are defined.

According to the key rapporteur, the agreement provides for a phased introduction of tracking, taking into account the modes of transportations and the categories of goods, as well as the tracking objects, the types of transport by which they are transported, the conditions for the application of the traceability of transportation through the territories of the member states, as well as the application of the results of this tracking by the bodies exercising control are defined.

MP Shirak Torosyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration.
