On June 27, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the delegation led by the Member of the German Bundestag Merle Spellerberg .
Welcoming the guests, Sargis Khandanyan valued the active cooperation between Armenia and Germany, highlighted the effective activity of German organizations dealing with democratic and human rights protection issues in our country.
At the request of the Member of the Bundestag, the Committee Chair presented the peace process with Azerbaijan, the humanitarian situation that is worsening day by day due to the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, emphasized the issue of guaranteeing the rights and security of Armenians living in Nagorno Karabakh.
Touching upon the importance of deploying the EU long-term monitoring mission in Armenia, Sargis Khandanyan thanked the German Government for supporting that decision.
