36 measures are designed to implement within the framework of 5 programmes in the sphere of agriculture in 2024

In the results of the first half of the year 2023, the gross product increased by 2 percent of the same period of the previous year. About 10.4% growth increased in the sphere of horticulture. More than a dozen of the state support programmes being implemented in the sphere of agriculture had also an impact on the registered indicators.

The Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan said this at the joint sitting of the Standing Committees on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs on November 2, presenting the draft on State Budget for 2024 to the parliamentarians.

The Deputy Minister informed that in 2024, a number of programmes are initiated to implement, which are aimed at the intensification of the sphere and the rise of productiveness.

“36 measures are designed to implement within the framework of 5 programmes in the sphere of agriculture in 2024. The general budget is 45.34 billion AMD, from which it is 2 billion 200 million AMD for the financing measures with external sources,” Arman Khojoyan and presented in detail what the budgetary bid will serve.

The Chair of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gevorg Papoyan urged the Deputy Minister also to pay great attention to the result indicators in drawing up the further budgets.

The deputies addressed questions to the Deputy Minister. They referred to the increase of the budgetary bid in some direction for 2024, the increase of the wine consumption, animal husbandry and other issues.
