“The draft law proposes to amend the 2017-2020 programme for the Privatization of the State Property by removing Emergency Airport CJSC from the list of privatization,” the Head of the State Property Management Committee of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Arnak Avetisyan said this at the NA regular sitting on February 6.
According to the key rapporteur, the airport, which is located in Lori region, has not been operated for many years, and has not carried out flights. According to him, the company’s property is 61.7 hectares of land, and most of the buildings are completely demolished.
Arnak Avetisyan informed that by the decision of the Government, the property of the organization was attached to the Ministry of Defense. It is proposed to remove Emergency Airport CJSC from the list of privatization.
The rapporteur answered the deputies’ questions, which, in particular, related to the implementation of the privatization process, the conditions of free use of the property given to any organization.

The co-rapporteur, the member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Narek Ghahramanyan noted that the draft law was debated in the Committee and was endorsed. The deputy called on his colleagues to vote for the draft law.
