As far as I understand, the number of Middle East specialists in Armenia has steadily increased over the past week. These people directed all their “professional” abilities to express their sympathy for one side of the Iran-Israel conflict on social networks and condemn the other side in the harshest possible terms.
Meanwhile, several dozen factors should be considered when analyzing such complex issues, starting from the war in Gaza and the Houthis in Yemen and ending with the US presidential elections. I don’t know if there are analysts in Armenia with such comprehensive knowledge who simultaneously follow the events daily.
I hope that, in this matter, the authorities of Armenia will not get involved in the big geopolitical games. We see the results of Pashinyan’s attempt to become the torchbearer and citadel of democracy and westernism in the region. On April 5, they explained to him in an accessible language that Armenia has nothing to gain in return. Not to mention that any serious actions do not back up the “democratic ambitions” of this government. Actions go in precisely the opposite direction.
Of course, everyone has their own cultural and value preferences. For example, women can go out in the street in the clothes they like, and the media can criticize any official or phenomenon. But first, I am a private person, and second, I accept that other private persons may have a different opinion than mine. In the same way, Ukrainians can organize life in their country as they see fit, and no pretext can justify the attack on their country. However, when Civil Contract members or Pashinyan propagandists say this, whether they like it or not, it becomes a fact of international politics, albeit tiny and insignificant.

So, those who are related to the current government of Armenia in one way or another, even more so, the government representatives, if they do not want to harm our state, should “measure” their words ten times before speaking about international issues. Another question is whether they express the interests of other states.
