Trusted economies are built on good governance.
This week Ambassador Alexandra Cole joined the opening of the Annual Corporate Governance Conference, held under a UK government-funded programme in partnership with CIPE and the Corporate Governance Center.
One of the day’s key outcomes was the signing of a memorandum on improving corporate governance in state-owned enterprises. The memorandum was signed by Armenia’s Ministry of Finance, Corruption Prevention Commission, State Property Management Committee and the Corporate Governance Center.

This is a practical step towards more transparent and accountable governance, built through cooperation between state institutions and civil society.
Ambassador Cole noted that strong corporate governance builds trust, encourages investment and helps organisations manage risk.
The UK continues to support Armenian partners in strengthening economic resilience, transparency and a responsible investment environment.
