As a result of extensive joint operational and investigative measures carried out by officers of the General Department of Criminal Police and the Shirak Regional Department, together with staff of the US Embassy’s Regional Security Office, a 44-year-old man who had been internationally wanted by INTERPOL since 8 April 2024 was located at a house in the 6th Lane of Sundukyan Street in Gyumri.
The 44-year-old US citizen was wanted on charges of sexual violence against minors. Detention had been ordered as a preventive measure.
On 30 October, he was handed over to US law enforcement authorities.
