Did we want such a free and independent Armenia?
Did we want to have dependent courts? The authorities suddenly understood on February 19 2008 that there are criminal elements who live in the country. They decided to handcuff them and lead to the court with handcuffs and read a decree they laugh at its content themselves. But the authorities should understand that they can’t handcuff their mouths and political views. The handcuffed people revolt and become stronger. Their friends also become stronger. Every time they see handcuffs they become more decisive. The authorities should understand that the mouths of their adherents are handcuffed but their hands and legs as well as activities are free.
Our mouths have been handcuffed for more than 70 years but 1988 came. People gathered in Opera square and formed the square of freedom for all of us. Our husbands and friends were arrested there and the square was surrounded by tanks. Though the square was surrounded by tanks people kept on gathering near N8 or N10 tank.
Today those who handcuff or want to handcuff us was with us either handcuffed or in Karabagh.
They know it very well. So how long should it last?
6 month, one year, even three years will pass you can’t arrest so many people. You will be conscience-stricken, you will remember about your friends of struggle, you are also Armenians…
You also understand very well that people had a pain and demand, and all it was being expressed in the Freedom Square.
It is impossible to kill the freedom, it is given by the God.
