A Tank Shell Has Been Removed From the Kindergarten Building in Berd

The shell has been taken to the military shooting range.

On April 8, a tank shell was removed from the wall of the kindergarten building in the town of Berd, region of Tavush. Viktor Tadevosyan, the commander of the Berd rescue party, Ministry of Emergency Situations, stated that the kindergarten building was built in the 1980s; construction was under way there at the moment. The shell had gotten into the wall of the building as a result of the Azeri shelling. Mr. Tadevosyan said that the Berd police had surrounded the premises of the kindergarten, and the sappers who had come from the military base had successfully removed the shell. The shell has been taken to the military shooting range with due precautions. There it will be determined whether the shell is a dud or not, whether it is dangerous or not.
