The RA delegation members have spoken about the shameful report of Azerbaijani “caviar-eaters” and have received an “absurd” response. As we have reported, today, the head of RA NA delegation to PACE Hermine Naghdalyan, delegation members Naira Zohrabyan, Armen Rustamyan, Vahan Babayan and Levon Zurabyan have met with Co-Rapporteurs on Armenia of the PACE Monitoring Committee, Axel Fischer and Alan Mill.
In the interview with Aravot.am, PAP faction leader Naira Zohrabyan told that the meeting was held in a very tense atmosphere and serious accusations were voiced by Armenian delegation regarding “Aliyev’s morals and manners” in PACE recently. “I personally announced that the Stockholm syndrome begins functioning in the Council of Europe recently, when Azerbaijan has hold all of you as a hostage, the entire CE, and you, as hostages of Azerbaijan begin showing warm feelings to your hostage-taker represented by Azerbaijan. This is obvious because the CE has turned into Azerbaijan’s subsidiary company and directly serves the interests of Azerbaijan.”
The same emphasis was made by other members of the delegation. Naira Zohrabyan said that Armen Rustamyan and Hermine Naghdalyan have also asked questions about the fact that soon, on June 22, they will be discussing the reports of the two other Co-Rapporteurs on Azerbaijan of the Monitoring Committee: “Azerbaijan’s number one famous caviar-eater” Pedro Agramaunt and Tadeusz Ivinski about the activities of democratic institutions in Azerbaijan. “If you read this report, almost half of it is dedicated to Armenia. It turns out that the democracy is not developing in Azerbaijan because the Armenian lobby and several pro-Western organizations prevent the development of democracy in Azerbaijan.”
Naira Zohrabyan said that there is a reference in the report on democratic institutions in Azerbaijan to a non-existing yet, but already made a big fuss initiative, “The escalation of violence in Karabakh and in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan”. Naira Zohrabyan said, we explained, “What is the connection of the report on democratic institutions in Azerbaijan with this non-existed document. If you are objective, then you should include Armenia’s position about Nagorno-Karabakh in the section of Armenia in your report, otherwise, our society that rightly considers the CE to be Azerbaijan’s subsidiary company and directly refuses to believe in your values, has the right to have this objective opinion about the Council of Europe.”

As to what responses were followed by the co-rapporteurs, Naira Zohrabyan said, “One of the responses was an absurd for me when Alan Mill, who voted and was present at the Monitoring Commission, when the “pair” of the two caviar-eaters presented the report on Azerbaijan, was surprised and said, “Are there indeed such sections?” This means that they are directly and automatically vote for any initiative that is introduced. As co-rapporteurs of the countries in conflict, they should have been much more careful and seen what a report they have presented.” Naira Zohrabyan said that during the discussion of the report by Azerbaijan, she will deliver a speech and will call the PACE to be Azerbaijan’s subsidiary company.
