Aravot.am asked the “Heritage” faction MP Tevan Poghosyan whether it would not be more effective if all the forces of the “Heritage” party were centralized in the polling stations on the day of the referendum rather than going out to the street, Mr. Poghosyan replied, “As far as I know, everyone had their proxies, observers or members of the Committee in the polling stations, and these people were supposed to fulfill their function.” Back to the “Heritage” representatives, Mr. Poghosyan assured, “All of them had not left and gone to the street at that hour and it was possible to hold them. Of course, despite the pressures, however, they did not abandon the polling station. It is applauded that such citizens are formed that can stand up and fight to the end. But if there were people in the places who had gone away, it was not quite right for them. Hence, they must substituted by other people in the corresponding positions.”
To our clarifying questions that during the counting at the polling stations, a number of representatives from “Heritage”, such as Zaruhi Postanjyan and Armen Martirosyan were out in the street, in front of the CEC building, so maybe the opposite would be a more effective way of fighting, Tevan Poghosyan responded, “For example, Hovsep Khurshudyan, Hrayr Manukyan and others were in the polling stations. The problem is that if there were people who had not inspired confidence, maybe there was no sense to keep them there.”
