Dear compatriots (both from the Republic of Armenia overall and from Yerevan),
I want to congratulate the “My Step” alliance, Nikol Pashinyan, Hayk Marutyan, the Armenian National Congress, and all political forces and non-governmental organizations that supported the “My Step” alliance, as well as all Armenian citizens for their victory as a result of the Yerevan City Council elections. This is was, in reality, a referendum to see whether or not the democratic revolution in Armenia should continue. The people’s message is clear: continue the democratic revolution and get rid of the remnants of the government that stole from us (all discussions about low participation are cheap and empty propaganda).
The lists of voters were at least 25-30 percent inflated, and the real percent of participants was over 60 percent. The revolution received a mandate, an order from the people to dissolve parliament and to finally create a government that the Armenian people elected. From today on, it’s everyone’s job to carry out that order. Even without that, it’s getting late. If we continue to be late on this issue, it won’t be good.
