“Yes, Nikol Pashinyan is the one who started a revolution, glory and honor to him, but Nikol Pashinyan says that the ones who started a revolution were the Armenian people under his leadership,” former Prime Minister Aram Zaven Sargsyan announced during the formation ceremony of the ‘Menk’ (Us) alliance.
“That does not mean that the only ones who are to be part of the political arena after the revolution should be Nikol Pashinyan’s supporters and the Civil Contract party,” Aram Sargsyan said. According to him, it’s understandable that the political force that started the revolution will form a majority in parliament after the elections on December 9th, but the revolution will have no value if Civil Contract is to be the only party in the political arena.
According to Aram Sargsyan, they will not be the force in parliament that will await the new government’s mistakes. “We will not be happy because of that nor will we announce that we are the opposition. No, we will be the force that will do everything to fix mistakes and flaws quickly so we can avoid them. This will be the primary way that we will show our political activity. We want to see our country be successful after the revolution.”
