A member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s youth wing, Christine Vardanyan, who is demanding the resignation of Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport said that they are planning to continue their protests until they achieve their goal, which is for the minister to resign.

In an interview with Aravot Daily, she said that they hope the authorities will not resort to threats and the use of force. Then she added, “If you ask me if I’m afraid of anything, I will tell you that I’m not because I have nothing to be afraid of.”

Aravot Daily asked if the ministry attempted to negotiate with them or try to meet with one of their representatives. “The process was publicized… The step back and implication took place after the red lines had been crossed several times, including after we were labeled as being unruly and after he threatened to file cases every day. If he is prepared to negotiate after such hatred, then what is the purpose of negotiating? That is illogical and provocative,” Vardanyan said.

“Arayik Harutyunyan said that he will only resign when he believes that his own work was insufficient. This is a funny claim. What can I say? Let him stay. Leaders of countries resigned, as well as dictators, tyrants, and the kinds of people who never believed that their day would come. Therefore, I don’t think that Arayik Harutyunyan will remain the only exception in history to stay in his position forever,” Christine Vardanyan emphasized.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the youth who gifted him a metro ticket to give to Arayik Harutyunyan so that he can use the metro again after he resigns.
