“To be honest, I do not agree with the way the authorities handled the coronavirus. We all know that the coronavirus has been spreading worldwide over the past month. The government needed to issue orders to hospitals and pharmacies to ensure that they have enough medicine for the flu and enough face masks. But now the day has come where no one has any masks or flu medicine,” the head of Prosperous Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan, told reporters in parliament.
According to him, those in the pharmaceutical industry needed to have made sure that all pharmacies had the necessary products one month ago to fight against viruses.
Reporters asked him if he wanted to wear a mask but was unable to find one at a pharmacy. Gagik Tsarukyan responded, “Tsarukyan doesn’t need one. Those illnesses don’t affect kind people.”
According to Tsarukyan, if a good suggestion is made, then the government needs to listen to it and not try to justify themselves. “Our compatriots came here from Iran. You know that the coronavirus has a 14-day quarantine period. You should have quarantined them for two weeks to get a proper diagnosis. But instead, they went home where there are their children and their parents. How could you have done this? This is not economics for them to not understand. They need to use all the medical terms because no matter what you say, they simply want to justify themselves.”
