Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited several stores and pharmacies, which he shared on a Facebook live video.
The Prime Minister saw that one pharmacy has not had any face masks or hand sanitizer for two days. Another pharmacy had masks, but it did not have any hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. Pashinyan also checked the availability of Indian cleaned wheat and rice, and he noticed from customers’ purchases that there is no shortage of toilet paper and no one is panic buying.
He went to a store on Mashtots Avenue, where he found that there are face masks for 150 AMD apiece. “Where did you get that branded mask?” Pashinyan asked someone passing by. “It is a construction mask,” the person replied.
People working at a restaurant Pashinyan passed by invited him inside. They informed him that they are still working and they even have tourists as customers. “Mr. Avinyan and Mr. Torosyan if it’s acceptable for there to be this many people outside in the city,” the Prime Minister said, noticing how many people were outside.
