Armenak Urfanyan’s mother, Hamest, is insulted and disappointed in the fact that the graves of April War heroes Robert Abajyan and Armenak Urfanyan were defaced at the Yerablur Military Pantheon once again. “I want to understand whom these men gave their lives for that they deserve this treatment today. It is the second time that something like this happened. One week ago, the Military Prosecutor’s Office sent paperwork stating that the other person who did this was a woman with a mental illness. They confirmed that she was the one who did it. There are cameras this time; they should look at the footage, clarify who did it, and punish them. I don’t understand, are these boys their enemies? This is a political action.”
She continued, “Last time, I thought perhaps children did it; they came here and were playing. But this time, I am sure that it was done on purpose. The police and military should investigate this because there are security cameras,” Hamest Nersisyan said.
According to her, it seems like the person who defaced the gravestones is the same one who defaced bus stops earlier in the week.
