“Azerbaijan and Turkey have deployed large numbers of terrorist troops in southern Artsakh. They are preparing to deploy Turkmen terrorists in Karvachar and Kashatagh. These Turkmens predominantly spread Russophobia,” Turkologist Nairi Hokhikyan said during the parliamentary hearings organized by Bright Armenia as he presented the roadmap for coming out of the post-war internal political situation. “After Syria, Iraq, and Libya, Iran will be the USA’s target. Over the past 15 years, Iran’s military forces have become paralyzed, and what will take place is the use of Israel’s, the USA’s, and terrorist troops. The terrorists located in Turkey and Artsakh’s southern regions will have a large role to play in that,” Nairi Hokhikyan stressed.
He added, “Be assured that there are over 5,000 terrorists deployed at the military base in Jabrayil who are frequently attacking regions in Iran and bordering territories. There have been many casualties on the Iranian side. It is not a coincidence that Iran has deployed a large number of troops along the border of Artsakh. And the occupation of Artsakh’s southern regions by Azerbaijan and Turkey is also not a coincidence. Iran has perhaps one of the largest mineral bases in the world. And this fight in both Artsakh and Iran was mainly aimed at capturing those mineral resources. Take into consideration the fact that two Iranian politicians have been assassinated, and clear statements against Iran have been made in Israel. Those statements carried a more militaristic nature after January 20th, and we will see a larger deployment of terrorist troops along the northern regions of Iran. We need to be prepared for an even larger war and an even larger crisis. In 2021, we will face the challenge of having Armenian territory at all. Many deputies, especially from My Step, have asked me to avoid speaking about this now, but not speaking out would mean betraying our national security.”
