“Many people believe that if Nikol Pashinyan continues to lead, the enemy will come in and take over our nation. I have a different view on all of this. The enemy has already taken over us from within. We are waiting for danger from the outside, but meanwhile, what happened in Artsakh externally has continued from November 9th from within, including in Armenia,” the first Human Rights Defender of Armenia, activist, and founder of the Foundation Against the Violation of Law NGO, Larisa Alaverdyan, told reporters during a press conference at the Hayeli press club.
In her opinion, Azerbaijan and Turkey do not need to worry about the international community because they are already cooperating with the Armenian government and the ruling party in parliament.
“We not only have an occupied government, but also an occupied Armenia, which was captured by the entirety of My Step and its allies, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Perhaps not everyone understands that what we are waiting for from the outside has already taken place. Turkey and Azerbaijan will not attack from the outside in order to do what they need to. The attack has already taken place domestically with the help and power of their allies. If anyone doubts this, they should analyze the results of everything that has taken place since September. I came to this conclusion after analyzing this whole chain and seeing that Azerbaijan and Turkey have mainly entered into an information war, leaving the actions of destroying the country to their ally,” the speaker said.
In Larisa Alaverdyan’s opinion, the generals have not understood until now that the country has been occupied from within. “The execution of an illegal order is a crime according to international law. Now, what Pashinyan is doing is making all those responsible for the security of this country complicit in his crimes. I must remind the generals who are carrying out these illegal orders of the principles used during the Nuremberg Trials: the one who executes illegal orders also commits a crime.”
