The EU and Armenia needed a strong, effective, reliable, sustainable and accountable Armenian civil society to monitor and implement part of CEPA

The Delegation of the European Union in Armenia and the “Partnership for Open Society” Initiative organised a second session on the presentation of the Civil Society’s Collective Monitoring of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

This EU-Armenia CEPA Collective Civil Society Monitoring has been conducted by the group of civil society organisations, members of the “Partnership for Open Society” Initiative. Armenian CSO, EU member states, international organisations participated in this presentation and debate.

The first session focused on Justice and Constitutional reforms. This second meeting addressed the issues of social justice in education, issues of social security, labour rights, and the implementation of the green deal agenda in Armenia.

Mr Jan Plešinger, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, reiterated that the EU and Armenia needed a strong, effective, reliable, sustainable and accountable Armenian civil society to monitor and implement part of CEPA.
