Оn September 13 Ambassador Makunts had a meeting with Congressman French Hill (R-Arkansas). During the meeting the Ambassador briefed the Congressman on the dire humanitarian situation in Nagorno Karabakh resulting from the blockade of the Lachin corridor, obstacles to delivery of the humanitarian aid and stressed the urgency of providing humanitarian assistance.
The interlocutors also discussed issues related to peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Makunts underlined the imperative of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia and addressing and ensuring the rights and security of the Nagorno Karabakh people.
