The proposed amendment refers to the amount of pension for the judge appointed in the position of the member of the Constitutional Court (CC) before July 1, 2014. The calculation of the mentioned judges’ pension by the regulation in force is the following: the pension is calculated until July 1, 2014 in the amount of official rate received in his/her position, the total amount of the premium and 75 percent of 0.9 coefficient multiplier.
The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan said this, presenting the draft law on Amending the Constitutional Law on Constitutional Court.
It is proposed by the draft to set that amount of pension for the judge appointed in the position of the member of the Constitutional Court before July 1, 2014 should be calculated with the official rate received in recent held position and appropriate interest.
The draft aims at complying with requirements of recorded by the CC appropriate decision and the legal positions expressed in that decision on the amount of the pension of the Constitutional Court judge.

It is also designed to set retroactive force for amendment being made, as a result of which, the effect of the law will be spread on the re-calculation of the two retired judges of the Constitutional Court.
