On May 16, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received a group of cultural figures who had visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to express their support, filial love, and loyalty to the Holy Church and the Catholicos of All Armenians.
During the meeting, a range of issues concerning the socio-political situation in Armenia was addressed, including troubling developments and challenges in public life, as well as the current concerning state of relations between the Church and the State.
During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on the exceptional, God-ordained, historic, and spiritual-pastoral mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church to preserve national identity, strengthen the society’s spiritual resilience, and reinforce nationwide unity.
Special emphasis was also placed on the commitment of the Armenian Church and the Armenian intelligentsia to overcoming the crisis of values, fostering public solidarity, and strengthening a healthy spiritual and moral atmosphere in society, grounded in the spirit of love and unity.
