Armenian-American GM Vladimir Akopian has become the 2026 U.S. Senior Chess Champion.

GM Vladimir Akopian and GM Alexander Onischuk scored 6.5 points out of 9.

The winner was decided in a playoff, which Akopian won 3-1.
