From the life of detectives

February 04,2012 12:47

When the police write in their statements, “This citizen was not detected, as a result of police investigation,” I perceive that roughly as follows – a police unit ambushes outside the suspect’s house and wait for him to appear. At the same time two smart detectives, one of whom had better be white and the other black, carefully inquire in various cafes and other places of amusement to find out when that person was last seen. Etc. Then all those groups come to their chief and report, “The suspect couldn’t be detected.” If a man (furthermore, not short) goes to work and comes back home every day, first of all the point in investigation is not clear, second it is not clear why the investigation failed. As you understand, I am talking about Hayk Gevorgyan, a journalist of  Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper.

The police write, “On January 23, a decision was made to bring Gevorgyan in. As a result of an investigation Gevorgyan was not detected. On the same day (i.e. on January 23 – A.A.), a decision was made to declare Gevorgyan wanted and arrest was chosen, as a measure of restraint. On February 3, Hayk Gevorgyan was detected, arrested and sent to Nubarashen Correctional Facility.” So, the police “has searched for” “wanted” Hayk for more than a week, from January 23 through February 3 and couldn’t find him, although the journalist has worked routinely.

Another excerpt from the police statement. According to “victim” Frangulyan, the driver (i.e. Hayk – A.A.) who ran him over “stopped the car, got out, threatened to call the police, then cursed him (“victim” Frangulyan – A.A.), then got into the car and leaving him helpless, fled.” Putting aside that, in my opinion, Hayk couldn’t leave any man helpless, let us apply logic. Tell me, please, have you seen a driver who had run a man over and was going to flee the crime scene, had stopped the car before that and identifying himself, had talked to the victim.

I am not referring to other suspicious parts of the police version because of the lack of space. The case is obviously a frame-up.
