“Sometimes it’s better to be silent than to speak”

November 01,2013 22:57

“I have two reviews regarding the speech of famous political retired and already failed politician Levon Ter-Petrosyan: selection of Badasyan as an advisor on foreign political affairs speaks about the serious approaches of the political figure, as well as selection of the famous uncle as his advisor on internal political affairs of the country,” so responded Vice President of RA NA Eduard Sharmazanov to the question of “Aravot”.

To remind that yesterday Ilur.am published Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s article, in which, in particular, it said, “Though I do not know NKR NA MP Vahan Badasyan, however, I can not disagree with the conclusion of yesterday’s announcement that with a sincere concern for the future of Armenia and Artsakh, Serzh Sargsyan should display wisdom and voluntarily be dismissed from the office. The fact that the latter, with the exception of his personal and clan’s prosperity, is a complete failure in all other aspects in this position, of course, raises no doubt to the rational human being. Unlike the honorable MP, however, my starting point are not the mistakes and crimes committed in the past by Serzh Sargsyan but whether he is at least capable from now on to do any useful work for Armenia and Artsakh. The answer, no matter how painful, is definitely “no”. Ter-Petrosyan has also presented arguments consisting of eight points. “It is funny that a figure who, on March 5, 1992, in the interview with “Komsomolskaya Pravda” expressed his consent of entering NKR into the structure of Azerbaijan with the status of autonomous region, speaks about the fate of Artsakh and losing Artsakh. A man who during the political campaign was calling for familial relations with Azerbaijan.” Sharmazanov draws the following conclusion from all of this, “Sometimes it’s better to be silent than to speak.”
