To the question of Aravot.am of whether it is possible to implement it in participation of the government, if the final version of the “New Economic Policy” is approved, the main event organizer in Tsakhkadzor, Doctor of Economics, Professor, PAP MP Michael Melkumyan responded, “If you were attentive, questions raised were also about the political power structure. In other words, the economic needs to be accompanied with amendments on political power structure. Separately, it will be very difficult. If we say that the government is not ready to do this: monopolies, and tender relationships, then it will fail intrinsically. With the junction of these two, we would achieve some results.” To the second question of whether the government is willing or is able to go for it, Mr. Melkumyan countered, “It should find strength. It is obliged. The situation in the country is such that there is no more room to retreat. We do not have much way to go back. It would be a serious problem.”
