Children of “deed”

September 09,2014 13:14

The most read articles of “Aravot” online yesterday were: “Arakel Movsisyan to the journalist, “Now, stop! Get the hell out of here. All of you,” as well as “Mher Sedrakyan is indignant, and Seyran Saroyan will send the MPs to the first line.” We, as well as the readers of many other sites, are interested in how this category of Republican MPs exercise the command of the president not to be absent from the sessions, and most importantly, what pearls of party’s “old Armenian” they dissipate.

The entire salt is in their “interviews”. Arakel Movsisyan, Mher Sedrakyan, Nahapet Gevorgyan, Ashot Aghababyan and a number of other MPs, of course, possess articulated speech special to homo sapiens. True, they do not all know the meaning of all words. For instances, Nahapet Gevorgyan instead of the word “act” uses the innovative term “deed”, which probably contains the strive for creating.

This level of intellect, one must assume, is quite sufficient to record big successes in business, but not sufficient for legislative, as well as political activities. All people who are forced to deal with the activities of kilometers away from them are worthy of compassion. The mentioned MPs, too. Listening to the President’s admonition, they had to sit in the NA session hall for 1-2 hours. But later, they suffered from boredom so much that they decided to “leave the trench.”

It is here that the journalists “caught” them, and the MPs again had to answer the questions of the journalists. (To note in the brackets that the NA leadership seems to be trying to exempt these types of MPs from the heavy duty of communicating with the media and make sure that the ways of the journalists and the MPs are not crossed). As a result, it turned out to be a spectacular material. Some said that they are going to their offices to create laws, probably they were going to look for familiar letters in the texts of the draft laws. Nevertheless, whatever these MPs say is already spectacular. It is a deed, in short, almost a mystery.

Frankly speaking, my heart is down when we publish such materials, no matter they are the most read. Earlier, in 1995 and especially in 1999, when the lords of the underworld and those squatted down came to the Parliament, their speech contained some elements of entertainment, to say in Russian “prikol.” But this “prikol” being constantly repeated over 15 years got lost, it lost its freshness, became uninteresting at least for me. But what can we do? Unless the reader is interested in it, we have to write about it.
